Co-owner of Ride International Tours, Pat is an integral part of the business. Behind the scenes, he organises many of the detailed aspects of each cycling tour.
On the road, Pat is the team captain who hosts, rides, guides and brings everything together on tour. A brief look back a few years, to Pat's background, will help explain his abilities on tour, his six sense with riders, and his core passion to improve each rider's experience on tour and on a bike.
Pat's Vast Experience in Cycling
Prior to being captain on the road, Pat worked in the corporate world and tuned his business acumen, as well as combining racing at a high level. Pat competed in most of cycling’s disciplines and in many of the subcategories within each of the sports of BMX, Mountain Biking, Road Cycling and Cyclocross.
Cycling is in Pat's blood. From good British stock, his family have been racing and riding bikes for over 115 years. Pat's high-end skill set is partially handed down from his ancestors, along with his ability to dissect skills, techniques and bike setup in an instant. These skills have allowed him to float effortlessly between this broad range of cycling disciplines. Additionally, he has coached and mentored riders from introductory to professional; along with Olympic level riders.

A Continued Love of the Sport
These unique skills have allowed Pat to specialise in high-end bike tuning, set-up, maintenance, product matching, product analysis, reviews for many cycling magazines and to focus on a 'no-bull$*#!" testing and analysis approach to performance, comfort and efficiency for riders on and off tour.
Pat's broad skill set and experience in Europe allows him to assist guests to enjoy cultural immersion on tour and to improve their bike skills, safety, efficiency, performance, love, fun and enjoyment of travel on and off the bike.
